ZT lunchbox

Post by mickie08 »

anyone heard of the ZT lunchbox amps?

200 watt solid state with a built in speaker, extension speaker out, headphone out the size of a lunchbox and has good reviews so far from what I have seen. There is a used one around here for cheap.

That's a good comparison for showing the size.

Not a bad idea- kinda like the Crate Powerblock but with the "lil combo" option too.

130w RMS apparently, which is the measurement us musos tend to use.

I like the idea of it. I may make the 1.2 hour drive to check it out if the guy still has it around.

The OG Lunchbox doesn't sound half bad:

I might even look into this myself actually.

how much are they over there.

I like the idea of this as solid state as you can use it to amp a acoustic, etc in a pinch whereas a small tube amp doesn't usually work too well for amping an acoustic.

Just found one for £250, no idea how realistic a street price that is though.

they are 260 USD brand new here shipped. There is one at a local place for 200 USD out the door and I can play it.

Also, I guess the luncjbox 1 and 2's are basicly the same. They are not really a different model.

Slightly more in-depth features demo:

260 bucks, eh? Might even be worth me getting one shipped over, the pound-dollar exchange being what it is at the mo.

I know you can order them directly from the ZT website. It might be worth calling and see if they ship overseas directly and what the charges would be. Shipping for A 10 pound box would not be to prohibitive I don't think. Not when it is almost double the price over there.

yeah...Definitely. If I can pick up the used one for 200, I probably will just get it and I can always bro deal it back out if I don't want it. Even more so if I can get the $ down to say 175 or so. We'll see if it is still around tommorrow.

It looks like a great idea for London gigs- turn up with a light-assss combo that's loud enough for whole band situation, but can plug into a cab for bigger sound if it's available.

I guess I'd have to give one a spin first, although I guess there'd be nothing an EQ pedal couldn't sort out, as long as it's clean and loud enough.

Will do, Mikey. Would probably need to sell some stuff first, realistically.

Close mic'd demos but in SOME STRANGE FOREIGN LANGUAGE

They're both of the Lunchbox2, I've yet to discover the difference between the versions.
