Epiphone is jumping on the bandwagon?

Just saw a bunch of new epi models, but these two stuck out: A shortscale les paul and SG.

Even the bridge is Fender-like.

They've got those faded wilshires posted too, but that's a post for another time.

22" scale. very short. I guess they're travel guitars or something. I don't see the point in travel guitars, especially electric travel guitars. It becomes a lot less portable with an amp n stuff.

I love my smokey. I think I blew the speaker on it though... it seems a bit buzzier than normal now.

I was all set to make this exact post. Beaten like a red-headed stepchild.

Though I'm now reminded that I need one, so all is not lost.

Ah yeah, i guess you could take a small amp with you. But it seems a bit unnecessary. I would much rather get a cheap acoustic which I can get out and play anywhere, and not be worried about getting knocked about. To me a simple acoustic is a better 'travel guitar' than any super small electric thing.

Yeah, cost certainly comes into play here seeing as how they're Gibsons and all.

Maybe once the Epiphones roll around.

Edit: I NEVER LEARNED TO READ.

people, their supersupershort scales and their so cheap because their meant for CHIL'UN. Not for adults. So, no, their not jumping on any bandwagon, their continuing their line of small kid's guitars.

I read that post fine.

A combination of Trailer Park Boys and the internet has made me stupid.
