-1.

my strat's matching headstock is on maple...i think it really ties the whole guitar together, from body to headstock if you have this giant rectangle in between that's way lighter than the body and headstock...so for me, painted works BEST on maple.

It kinda looks like the guitar is being strangled.

Maple boards with matching headstocks are the only circumstances allowing me to:

1. like maple boards
2. like matching headstocks.

the blond one looks way more washed out than the green one and it costs twice as much for half as much tint

Painted headstock and maple board looks halfway decent on the Rick 650c. It looks totally botarded on Fenders.

That's kinda cool actually- I guess it does depend on the colour.

Black background helps dispell the paleness

How about there's more to a good guitar than the fucking color coordination?

WTF do you all walk around like fruity interior decorators who wear thick rimmed glasses and pink unbuttoned Hawaiian shirts? This is rock and roll. Doing anything to excess will make you cool and popular! Matching headstocks are badassed! Maple necks are also badassed! Therefore a guitar with matching headstock and a maple fretboard is TWICE AS BADASSED!

Learn the rules people.
