Univox Hi Flyers Pups
I just got the Univox from Bramblepro and the pups had been glued down. So now they are loose again. Does anyone know exactly how these are suppossed to be attached? They are the dog eared p90 type pups.

It did have cardboard.
Do you just use a long skinny screw and screw them down directly to the inside of the pup cavity? I was not sure because there looks like a couple holes around the pup routes like there might havebeen some sort of mounting piece and the screw in the pups are only maybe 1/2" to 3/4" long.

I don't know although they did come with black p90s or humbuckers apparently. I think I just need to find 4 really thin but long screws and screw them directly into the wood inside the pup cavity.mage wrote:are those the original pups for that guitar?

it looks like they originally had some sort of ring mounted pickups. as I understand it, in guitars designed for dogear P-90s, the "ears" should sit flush against the body of the guitar. there should be no cavity below them.
anyway, what I would do is put little piece of wood below the ears, either glue it in or screw it in from the side, and then screw the mounting screws into that.
