well yes... from a local ad. i traded the (bad) refin maple-neck'd '76 mustang bass (i'm amazed he wanted that one instead of the Baritone Jag!) + beat to shit original case + nice '66 bassman + no-name crappo 4x10 cab for a nice refin (in black... used to be white AAARRGH!!!) late '78 tele deluxe and nice fender deluxe hardcase.
all original except 2 new volume pots and the refin ???
i'm amazed on how LIGHT this thing is. i could've sworn all the late 70s fenders were boat anchors. well not all but most.
I RULE THE WOLD TONIGHT!!!
pics later, now... new strings!
Pat.

the one i USED to own (original 1972/3, now owned by DNRG8) was the same; walnut under black (TERRIBLE) refin.
now with this one, the previous owner told me it used to be his dad's (the original 1st owner) and it was "a horrible yellowed white, beat up and dirty", so he stripped and refinished it.
i'd like to see him yellow, beat up and dirty...
oh well...
Pat.

Fairplay, the tele deluxe looks the dogs!
I bought a squier tele custom a couple of weeks back which is having a setup and fret dress now - in my mind black really suits teles.
