I bought a telecaster. it's sunburst (tobacco?), made in mexico in 07 or 08, and cost me $170. It's niiiiiiiice.

Great deal on such a good condition standard, that would've been in the $400 range when he got it. Gotta love sketchy people when they're flipping guitars.

NOW, for a plan of action
Get a 3 saddle bridge on that, reverse the control plate, and play the fuck out of it.\
I got my MIM tele, an '01, from a SUPER scruffy looking guy and the guitar was dirrrrty but after a good scrubbing it felt like new

TBH I was originally planning to sell the thing, as I've purchased 3 guitars in the last 6 days. but now may just sell something else. 'cause the tele is just too nice.

the mim stuff isn't that bad these days, especially at the price you paid. you could have a butterscotch squire, or THAT. Sunburst isn't my bag but it fits the bill nicely. great score

I had one just like that! Well, except it was all beat up, and had some kind of duncan ultraloud bridge pickup that was so hot I could pick up and then ring modualte the drums.

I have a leftie like that, only I payed £220 for mine second hand and its got a big dink out of the paint on the top of the body. That's an amazing buy!
