Interesting

This kind of reminds me of a guy on offset who had an elvis costello jazzmaster with a jaguar logo on it. it looks like fender QC hasnt changed much.

Eh... That looks like a white guitar has been re-finished red. So whoever did it probably fucked up the decal.

It's actually meant to be that way. That's how the old candy apple was done. White primer (I believe), silver coat (to and the metallic effect), then red on top of that. Fender didn't make the same kinds of stupid mistakes back in the 60's

Hmm, you're right. I just googled some pic's and they all have a layer of white showing, some you can see the silver as well.
