Adjustable brass nuts

Has anyone tried one of these on a mustang.Someone knocked my mustang over and broke the nut.I'm thinking this would be easier to deal with than filing a nut.

Although on a serious note, they seem to crop up on every sustain-tastic seventies design guitar - definitely on Ovation electrics. I'd just go for bone, though - prettier.

i was toying with the idea of a height-adjustable base with a bone or graphite (or w/e) top part. The top would be secured with small set screws or maybe just slid into a holder, so that you could easily swap out you material, and be able to adjust the height of your nut with little trouble.
