You could try to find one of those old Kramer aluminum necks on the bay as well if you are trying to go all metal. I think I have seen a couple for not too much money.

those necks are 25.5 scale, these bodies are gibson scale. That would be super fricking awesome though.
I've wanted an aluminum neck guitar foreeeeeeever.

Don't recall if it was Tim but someone did a piezo pickup jazzmaster that had a metal neck. The whole neck would warm up as he played and the metal would expand. Would never stay in tune.

Something I just thought about with a metal neck. What are the frets made of? If they are just bumps on the neck, wouldn't you have to buy a whole new neck when they wore out? Wouldn't they wear out faster if thy were made of a softer metal, like aluminium?
well that particular neck was made out of aluminum, I'm pretty sure that there were slots cut and then steel frets were added and most likely glued in and set up they way any other neck is. If they're just bumps then that's ridiculous, I'd be so surprised if companies that made aluminum neck guitars did that shit.

frets in aluminum necks are stainless steel.

As an Apple user, I approve. There's got to be something that can be done with electronics in a metal guitar that would scare people. You could fill it with onboard effects. Jack White plays a custom Gretsch with a built-in retractable microphone, and a theramin next to the Bigsby. Oh, you'd need to put a Bigsby on that thing.
The cherry neck is a terrible color though. It would be a chink in the armor. Mapplez or even walnut would be better, but black might be okay.
