shaboing! silvertone

Looked at this at the store today. Loved everything about it. Did not plug it in but strummed around on it. No way I could sneak it into the house right now since I just brought home a duo sonic two weeks ago.
Any opinions on these. looked like curly maple on top and bottom. But was light so maybe a finish veneer or paint?

That is hot. It's prolly real wood. Even LPs use a thin layer of mapplez atop mahogany.

I was just admiring this again. I really really like it.
The neck looks sweet. My friend has a silvertone and it's a proper piece of shit, but like with every company like that I think they did a few A class guitars as well. And I'd bet this is one of them.

I know. I am hating myself that I cannot just buy the thing and hide it for a while. They want $420 for it. The rub is I just had shoulder surgery on my right shoulder last week. Since I live in the USA this costs me lots of money, even though I have insurance. So I don't even know the end tally to that bill and I have PT two times a week (mo money). Also, my hand doctor has had my left pinky buddy taped to ring finger for 2 months now. My guess is the ligament is gone because it ain't getting better. So maybe more surgery. The gods of rock are pissing in my corn flakes fo sho.
But on the other hand I did get a $99 duo sonic (thanks ends for the tip).
It sure is pretty.
