Well, I nearly got it where I wanted it, but it's off to a new home with Matthoj:
It's mainly stock, with a DiMarzio Tone Zone wired for series/parallel. This was a great player and I'm sad to see it go, but Matt will dig it I'm sure. He is the 4th Shortscaler to have this guitar:
Yeah, I was almost there... I wanted to make a new PG since the pup route was really boogered up. I straightened it out a bit, but it still looks shoddy up close.
mm is in secaucus, north jersey. will be here when i get home from hell i mean work tomorrow. so stoked. will play it at our show saturday night. good talking with you, mezz!!!!
Excellent man, although I think I got the better end of the deal (and that MM was my regular go to guitar). Also thanks for the pin and badass necklace, totally cool!!!
Mm is here and she sure is a sweetie! Love that neck. Perfect. I actually intercepted the ups guy at my office, asked him if he had an electric guitar in the back of his truck, flashed him my Id and I got it when I was at work. In the corner of my cubicle it sat all day, in its box. I snuck out on break and checked her out in my car, now just a tweak or two and off to practice to plug her in. Thanks a million, again, and let me know about them pedals. You are the one that rules...

i traded the red cyclone for it!!!
this guitar sounds awesome!!! just had practice, and the clean tone was perfect. just what i was looking for. the neck is dreamy, the song i normally cramp up in was a breeze. pain-free. ran it through my fender supersonic combo and went with the amp's distortion most of the time. i didn't really have time to set my fuzzbox or overdive pedals, the pick-up was so hot distorted i needed to find that perfect tone zone for the pedals and i didnt really have time as we only had an hour to run through the set. i love this guitar, thanks robroe for leading me to mezz, thanks mezz for getting me the guitar so quick. i'm holding around 19 other electrics right now and this thing just shot to the top of the list...
Glad you're digging it. I really like this Cyclone, although a tremol-no is definitely in my future so I can use other tunings on the fly. I'm having a love hate relationship with that humbucker. It's not my preferred sound, but it's really mean and bity sounding on some other settings. The looks of this thing.... oh man.... so nice....
