wtf do you guys use for cases for your jaguars?

i don't want to spend $150 for a case, and that's all i've really found. i'd like one for my jaguar and one for my jagmaster.

thanks y'all.

i got a morgan monroe tweed case for 69 bucks new a couple years back, it fits my jaguar. and i have a cheapie mf case that fits the jag, jagstang, and stang just fine. for some reason im the only one who hasn't had a problem finding a case.

It would be super dooper awesome and cool if you or someone could post up links to places to buy hardcases, preferably imitation vintage Fender style. They all seem to be too expensive here, like hotrod says.

I've always just used a rectangular bass case for my jazzmaster.
2 seconds with a drill and leather clasp and it's enough to hold the neck in place so it won't slide around.

doesn't hiscox make a jaguar case? i watched a video on how awesome their cases are and now i want one for my les paul, but they are impossible to find here in the states.
my first jaguar came with a blonde fender case, now sublimedo has those. i've just used gig bags for other jags since then.

Would a Jag fit in THIS? The price and looks are exactly what I'm after.

this one claims to have removable blocks so it can fit almost any guitar.

Eugh, that case is ugly as shit.

Gavin, I'm 99% sure that tweed case is the same case hurb gave me his guyatone in. Unfortunately I'm not at home at the minute so I can't actually try out my Jaguar in it.
Which makes this post sort of pointless.

Ho hum.

I sold Hurb my G&L Tweed hardcase, it wasn't that one was it? 'Cause those are made for Jag/Jazzy's. Fucking regretted selling that almost immediately.

EDIT: If it is it will be obvious, because it will have orange lining, whereas this one has black lining. I figure I might pull out the old lining, add some extra foam and make a fitted case for my Jag.

I measured my Jag and it looks like it would fit from a length, body length and depth perspective, but I think the Jag is too wide. I measured it as needing somewhere between 35 and 36 cm, but the website says that case is only 34.5cm wide.

my jags are like a good 2-3" longer than my strat, so they like hang over the end of my strat case (besides being too wide).

It is a bastard, you only have two options:

- Jag/Jazz case from Fender/Hiscox
- Bass case

Luckily I held onto the one my Jag-Stang came in.

Yeah is a bit of a pain.
Hiscox cases are great, but not that cheap.

Slightly off topic, I was good friends with Brynn Hiscox's step son in high school and went round to their house all the time.
He had a LOT of very nice guitars. Unfortunately, that was before I really started playing properly so didn't pay that much attention past the "wow that looks nice/expensive".

on ebay: he has some
Warwick Rockcase: http://www.thomann.de/gb/rockcase_rc_10601_b.htm
They also make a softcase: http://www.thomann.de/gb/rockcase_rc208 ... _light.htm
In the US, there should be something to be found at guitar center, I read on offsetguitars.

I have the rockcase one. It's not great (overall quality could be better, and it's really LARGE), but it's ok for jags and Jazzmasters. Generally, there are definitely budget line cases for these guitars. I have found none for Mustangs, though.

If I could choose again, that Barry Clark one looks fantastic. Old school shaping, not longer or wider than necessary, and cheap.

my framus jag's in a case by this place:

http://www.freestylemusic.co.uk/fmpcase.php

it's not a tweed style one, but it looks like it'd survive a nuclear winter. it's about an inch or so longer than my mustang cases.

i think originally my silvertone came in it, the case weighs about 10 times more than the guitar did.
