Does anyone know anything about these? I was looking online for Greco LP's, and saw this. I can't seem to find any info.

i'd stay away from bolt-neck grecos. i'm sure they're good guitars, but your money would be much better spent on a super real or mint collection.

Ahh, I can see what you mean. Because it's not a lot more for a set neck LP style? Have you heard bad stories about the bolt ons?

the bolt-ons were early to mid 70s. greco didn't start outputting the quality they're really known for until the late 70s. I personally think the early ones can be fine but just be aware that they're not the same level of quality as their later stuff.

that guitar looks matsumoku made.

I had a little semihollow that had the same trem/bridge/pickups. It was the most solid unsolid looking guitar I've ever owned. I wish I kept it but it left via the last in first out rule. The neck was straight and solid, and the pickups were amazingly sparkly, but only clean or slightly dirty, if you put on even moderate gain it would feedback like a mofo.

i didn't know greco made those

really like it. cept for the knobs, they're a bit boring. but it's like a mix between those really hot 60's japanese made semi hollows and a coronado.

Though I'm not too hot on the finish, I dig the looks on that. Kinda reminds me of that Gibson Barney Kessel guitar I has massive boner for.

Sorry though, no information from me, just a useless post.

Looks like a cheap coffee table from the 1970s.

I don't know...it is missing the wang bar. I suppose you could affix a butter knife to it.

Thanks mage and paul for the information, I'm glad to hear that some people have had experience with them. I'm going to keep my eye on this one, we'll see where it goes.

That's gotta be the best mistake I've seen on ebay since reverb handle.

The bolt neck grecos are good, but the later ones from the late '70s and early '80s are just amazing. especially if you're looking for a les paul. the quality and attention to detail is even better than that of the more popular (and expensive) tokais. and they beat the crap out of gibsons.
i've got an '84 mint collection les paul custom and it's one of the best guitars i've ever played.
