What is the Lube mod? I built a custom Rat clone a while back with a modified feedback loop on the OA for a different frequency response, one LED swapped for a diode for asymmetric clipping, and omitted the Filter. Back then there wasn't much out there for mods other than the Ruez or whatever mod.

Edit: It was the Ruetz Rat - Trim pot mod. I heard someone call it the Lube mod somewhere. It's replacing a feedback resistor with an internal trim pot or external pot.

I just stuffed mine in an electrical junction box covered in thick paint. The awesome thing about the original was how TUFF it was, so I wanted the same effect on it.
Bonus is that when the LED clips, it lights up, and you can see the light up through the small holes in the top of it.
