New CIJ Jag HH colours?

Post by Shaguar »

I just saw on the bay and on the ishibashi site that they are offering Oly White and Daphné Blue Jag HH's now. Is this old news? I can only find pics of an empty body on that Stratosphere ebay guy's store, but no complete pictures.
No.

I get confused with all these model names but there was a double humbucker Jaguar with stop tailpiece and tune-o-matic that was only sold in Japan that came in a bunch of colors. It's not new at all, they've been out for years. They came in all sorts of colors like gold, car, a light blue. I think the Jaguar HH was the american import of that Fender Japan guitar and like always they only imported one color.

I saved pictures of some in my guitar folder, I'll see if I can upload them.

I'm positive there was also a CAR finish but I didn't save that pic.

I know where Mo is coming from. The combination of the chrome buckers next to the chrome plates AND the black bucker rings makes it look very cramped visually.

I totally disagree. I'm a 100% hater of the plain holed guard. Pup rings are a must, especially on chrome buckers with a white guard!! The blue one looks amazing.

The black pup rings look better with regular knobs on too. The silver ones look crap.

It looks like someone shopped out a wall hanger and then tried to shop some "unpainted headstock edge" back in. :D

See, the Jaguar Rob posted looks more classy than any of the HH's in this thread.

That's nice. I've decided I've gone off blocks and binding a bit. That's more or less perfect.

Is that guard mint or parchment? I sometimes can't tell.

I would say Mint, I think parchment is applied sparingly.

I'm sort of glad my Jaguar is Dots and Binding rather than Blocks also, the blocks can look great on their day or gaudy depending on how I feel.

Actually, it's fairly obvious that it's mint, given that the pickups are parchment.

I used to love blocks and binding, but on Fenders I think it looks to seventies or something. I like them on Gibsons and such, but that's because that style of guitar has been wearing blocks since time began, so it's okay.
