Just a heads-up - this eBay auction is selling a Widerange pickup "out of the neck position on a 1978 Fender Telecaster Custom". The seller says "it could very well be a reissue" but despite the weasel wording he actually KNOWS it is a reissue, which he's priced at $99 in the hope someone will think it's an original. I sent him this thread to make sure he was aware of the difference, and after 2 responses (including "Nice try at finding a $400 pickup for $99.99"!) he claimed he didn't have the time to enter a debate. In my book that's a deliberate misrepresentation - avoid.

report to eBay.

There's nothing directly fraudulent - just carefully selected weasel words.

He's stating quite obviously that he doesn't know what the fuck it is but I think the title of his auction should reflect that fact.

It's clearly intended to suggest it might be an original pickup - and he certainly DOES know now, I have told him and pointed him to evidence. He claims he's doing nothing wrong, to which I replied it's his conscience and his business, he can do what he likes.
I'm not arguing the toss on right or wrong - I'm just pointing it out in case any Shortscalers thought it was worth a bid.

if a seller writes incorrect or misleading information and is informed by users that his item is x,y,z and he fails to edit that is something you can report.

This is the way it was back in the day with eBay. Who knows what's up now? I don't bother with eBay anymore.
