look interesting
Voiced to sound like the Red Special tone. The GFS guy says they're not constructed like the pickups in May's guitar but rather "tried to get the sound and feel first- with no regard for how the original achieved it's tone".
Not on the website yet, I saw this on the HC boards.

I was just thinking how cool it would be to get some burns tri-sonics in a 2-pickup strat I put together.

I'm interested in the tube overdrive that's supposed to be $50...That should be interesting IMO.

They remind me of the old Quarter Pounders for Strat that had huge pole pieces in them.

Woah.
I don't care what anyone says, I'd buy them for looks alone.

so cool you don't even notice you have a few pickguard screws missing + a volume knob...

I noticed immediately because a lot of GFS's pictures of pickups/pickguards are like that. They just throw them all on the same 3-4 guitars for the pictures, most of the time they either don't line up or are meant for the other config (50s vs. 60s hole pattern for strats and teles)
These pics have missing pickguard screws too, the tele even features prototype "invisi-coil" bridge pickup.
The white strat in the original pic is a real Fender judging from the stamped bridge saddles, so judging from the maple 21-fret neck I'd bet it's a 50s reissue of some type, hence no screw hole to the left of the bridge pickup (these were added in '59 along with 3-ply guards when it was discovered that 8-hole single-ply strat pickguards curl up in that area after a few years)

They look fucking sweet.
Fucks sake. I dunno what to do about my Batwing. I love singlecoils, but I love humbuckers as well. And now I love the look of these.
Would I be able to produce a decent sounding humbucker sound by installing a set of three of these and wiring the bridge and middle in series?

Those Tri-Sonic ish pickups look pretty damn cool. I like the switches as well. This may be a good Duo-Sonic modification in the future. That way you could match the scale length closer to the red special as well. I'm very interested in these.
