Impulse acoustic purchase

So as I was walking out of my guitar lesson today I saw an acoustic that caught my eye. Used but in good shape, very pretty. Bound body and neck and an output, tone and volume if I chose to plug it in. So I grabbed it and strummed a bit. Marvelous neck. Feels like my `51's neck which I love. Comfortable with a loud deep boomy sound unplugged. Plugged in, pretty much the same but louder. So I went to check the price, and I thought if this thing is under $150 it's coming home with me. It was $130 and now it sits in my music room. I've played it for the past few hours and loved every second of it. It's a cheapo chinese company, Galveston. But the fret work is perfect the flame on the neck and the fingerboard is amazing... the plastic backing has a bit of belt rash and there are a few pick scratches on the finish on the front piece of wood. Electronics work great though and man, it's a real player.

I probably could have gotten something similar online for alot cheaper, but I bonded with this immediately. I had to have it.

Sure, it's a chinese peice of crap... but sometimes the right guitar finds the right player and the fact that it's gonna fall apart in 3 months doesn't matter. :)

I think it's cute, don't know abou the placement of those knobs but I doubt it'd actually bother me while I was playing it.

Until this one my only acoustic was a shorscale rogue blueburst I got for $40. Never got on with it. I had essentially figured acoustics just weren't for me having played mine and a few of my friends, but this one is literally perfect. The look, the feel. I really love it.

Nice one. I still don't have an acoustic that I like.

Some day, I'll get round to buying an Epiphone EJ-300 or whatever it's called.

My bandmate has a Chinese Ovation knockoff that is very much like yours, only it's branded under Mansfeild.
He's been using it as his main knockabout appartment guitar and for playing in parks for at least 3 years, now so I would say unless you use it to fend off your assailants, you should get your money's worth out of it.
