Looks rather nice. It's about time they started offering more than one finish on this model, even if it is sunburst. They also finally stopped calling the Geddy Lee Jazz Bass a "limited edition", which was becoming ridiculous after, what, 12 years on the export market?

the necks are nice, but they're just boring basses to me. totally would if fender japan put their crazy colour options on it though

Why is all of Rush's signature gear so awesome? If I ruled the world I'd make it as shit as they are. Big fan of Geddy Lee Jazz basses, Sabian Paragon cymbals and the colour scheme offered on the Lifeson 335. It's misleading for other people.

Yeah, they are painted on. I had a GL Jazz Bass and i loved it
it had cloth wired pickups which i think were USA made.
the neck was really glossy and thin. i sold it in March to pay help pay for a car.

That's kinda cheap on Fender's part to have painted blocks, considering they want >$1200 for this thing. The original vintage ones were real inlays, no?
