What is wrong with this wiring diagram?

I recently bought a Squier Vista Venus and found that one of the wires was broken when I opened it up, I cannot see the other end of the wire soldered on anywhere. The wire in question is on the input jack, I'm thinking that it has to be soldered somewhere on to the 3-way toggle?

Should be a ground wire. Solder it to the back of the volume pot.

I think it must have been broken all along 'cos the unknown wire is actually far too short to reach the volume pot and there is no evidence on the volume pot of anything being soldered there before.

Post some pics of the Venus. very interesting guitar from the Squier Vista Series. Courtney Love's signature guitar and are rare even on ebay. Is it the 6 or 12 string version?

It's the six string in Seafoam green, I'll post some pics in the 'All other guitars' section later. I won it on Ebay for Â£210 (I may have overpaid), it has a few dings but it's in overall good condition.
