80s MIJ Squier - $75

Post by cobascis »

I've heard great things about 80s MIJ Squier, and don't these go for like $400 on eBay? Seems too good of a deal to be true.

You guys got any info on these guitars?

well, the seller gives you little to no info and the info he does give you isn't very reassuring. the very early ones with the JV serial are the most desired. after that the SQ serial was also very good. after that they can be good guitars but are not known to be the same level of quality. here is a site you can check out http://www.21frets.com

i don't know, $75 for a mij squier of almost any condition seems like a great deal. even more so if it's a jv (as unlikely as that is).

I'd say that the fact that the seller isn't giving much info could be good for you. To some people a Squier is a Squier, ie worth £100 and under second hand. The fact that the old Japanese ones are awesome isn't known to most average people.
