I wanna swap out my electronics in my Mustang. I need new switches, jack & 500K pots, who besides StewMac is a good US supplier.

This is a 66 Mustang with a Jagstang neck. I cut the headstock, using a Duo-sonic headstock somebody from the Jagstang forum gave me 8 years ago, forgot who... umm. The tuners on the Mustang look like shit, cause the washers are so large. I should of used Kluson, but I didn't. They are Schaller, pretty good, I'll try removing the washer, see if it looks better. I'm gonna paint the headstock white and put a decal on.

Pickguard is off of a 65 Mustang. Somebody else routed it for a humbucker and cracked the guard near the neck pocket. I absolutely love the color, so I bought it. Refinished the body white, it was raw wood when I got it, with a swimming pool route... couldn't figure out why they routed completely everything under the guard, nothing was left. I filled the pool in, it added some weight to the guitar. Before it felt like the headstock was gonna smash to the ground, now the weight is even. Ahh, Egosheep (thomas) gave me the DiMarzio Super Distortion humbucker for free. Stock Jagstang neck pickup, I always liked it.

In/out pickup phasing was never my cup of tea. Thinking of wiring a switch for neck/both/bridge. The other switch, will be humbucker coil split 1 / 2 / off (maybe), I dunno yet. Maybe go with the GM Art schematic bypass mod.

I'm wanting to reinstall my tremolo on another guitar. Do you have to allow the bridge to rock back/forth, or can you leave it taped up? I know it's "designed" to rock, but what has been your experience... people who actually use the Mustang tremolo. Anybody got a tremolo post w/ springs that's in decent shape laying around, I could use one.

i let mine swing, you have to basically have the bridge set up straight up when you do the intonation so that way it rocks back and forth with trem use.
some people like to tape it up.
leo made the bridge rock to try and keep the intonation tru when you use the trem, its not really useful, but on paper its perfect science.
tape it up if you want, otherwise set the intonation when it sits perfectly straight up, or rather 90 degrees to the plate.
i made a vid about the mustang trem, but its not really useful, its really just me complaining about complainers....
