Ive been looking into these guitars for a while now, I think this might be the single coil guitar I end up getting, I have heard nothing but good things about them and the demos seem promising, and it comes in the best fender color, burgundy mist.
I was wondering if anyone here has played one or owns one, I think I might head out to the local shops to see if they have one. Any thoughts on these strats?

The classic series are great. Strats and Teles. They replaced the MIJ/CIJ 'xx RI lines in '98/'99 when Fender stopped importing guitars from the Japanese factories.
The burgandy mist is more purpley. I do believe Nick (who hasn't been posting a lot lately) had a classic 60s in burgandy mist. It's still a great colour but an aged vintage burgandy mist is another ballpark most of the time.
But yeah, a classic 60s strat will be fantastic. I love the necks and pickups on them, not that it's a problem to find whatever strat pickups you want for cheapz these days.

Yep, they're very nice; there was a shell pink (which beats BMM, but only just) one in a local shop on and off for the last few years (belonged to a member of staff who kept changing his mind about selling it) and I really rated it. BMM will be lovely though - saw a BMM Jazz bass today with a matching headstock, and that's certainly captured my imagination...

The more purpley the better.
