Saw this on Craigslist, Guitar Center sells em for $399. I've got a JCM 900 Hi Gain Dual Reverb Marshall 2x12 50 Watt tube amp, been wanting more speakers... think they'll go nice together?

The MC cabs aren't bad, but they are the cheapie ones Marshall makes, not the 1960A "real deal". So expect cheaper speakers and build quality.

I have the same amp as you in half-stack format (model 4500 head, 50-watt dual reverb) and I've definitely used the head through one of these, sounded fine. The cab belonged to another guitarist with a solid state head (AVT?) from a band that we were sharing a practice space with.

Is 4 or 16 ohms compatible with your combo when using it's own speakers, Jooooooe?

I got a switch on the back of the amp for 8 or 4 (16).

That cab sold quick for $200, didn't get it.

I found this...

"I'm selling four Celestion G12T75 speakers (12", 16 ohm). These come from a mid-90s Marshall 1960A cab I bought recently. $160 gets all four speakers. These go for over $100 new EACH but I have no use for them. Shoot me an email if you're interested. Thanks!"

No cab included, which is cool cause I have a cab without speakers. I emailed him asking to test it, he said he could hook up his ipod to each speaker. I see these speakers with the cab go for $350 - $400 in my area. How realible are 15 year old speakers. Would checking the speakers with an ipod, let me know if they are blown... may sound good at low volume, but shit at high volume? Let me know guys, I'm electronic retarded.
