what do we have here...
this guy at THD just gave this to me. I replaced some caps on it and installed a 3 prong cord.
15W, 1x12 combo. these were made in the late 50s to the early 60s by Danelectro for Sears. People say they sound similar to a Fender Deluxe. I'm not too familiar with Deluxes but I can say it sounds fucking amazing. Has an onboard tremolo that sounds really good.

It looks sort of like a fucked up old TV. Demo?

Yea, I've seen it called the "TV Set" model before. I really should do a demo of it. I have a couple things to address though. the faceplate is rattling (annoying). and
my computer is fucked (very annoying). I'm on the computer at school right now. once I fix those things I would like to show you guys what it sounds like.

Looks like a gay bashingly orange Cool Cat Fuzz to me.

I'd say that's more a mustard yellow, but I have no idea what it is. It looks like it says Over Drive on the front like an SD-1, but the knobs aren't right for that. Unless it's a really old SD-1 and they used to look different?

My final conclusion is that it's a Mustard Blaster Overdrive, designed and hand-built by the infamous Nigel Laycock.

I keep forgetting, I have one of these in the garage. It needs a new power transformer, and a few odd tubes. Plus it's been thrashed over the years. Still, I just need to get it put together!

Those 1482's are great amps - I would love to get my hands on one - not much for cleans and with a great tremelo - post us an update when you get it sorted out.

Love the old Silvertones. I've had two or three cracks at local 1484's but never scored them off craigslist. Do want.
