Fuck, I know it's old hat, but maaaaaan.

I got around to watching a few proper in-depths demo of this beast, I NEED ONE. I think that's gonna be Xmas pressie fodder, spesh if I can sell the DD-6.

-Looper? Check.
-Presets? Check.
-Multi-tap with user-defined amount of repeats? Check.
-Fun speedy up/slowy down/octave up/octave down nonsense? Check.
-Convicing reverby delay? Check.
-Ring moddy comb filter? Check.
-Tap tempo? Check.
-Low/high pass filter? Check.
-Reverse delay? Check.
-Stupid amounts of fun? Check.

I know Aen and Benecol are avid users, anyone else?

Add volume swells and Benecolalaika to that list, young Doog. They pop up for £100 every now and then. Want me to keep an eye out?

Cheers, that'd be cool matey, £100 is a little more reasonable. Imma gunna stick a weekly search thing up on eBay on the offchance.

i really bought it as a looper - as it was as cheap as most of the others. but it had the added bonus of delay and other crazy stuff

it's pretty bad ass, but switching presets sucks. I kind of want a DL-4 again so I can have my 3 presets immediately available.

it's a really fun pedal to play, i spend hours just playing the thing. I don't think i even have a "normal" delay setting on the presets, just because there are so many unique sounds i can get from the pedal.

It only has 1 problems, you can't change the presets with you foot (you can, if you play with n shoes).

Btw, ppl with the hazarai post your favorite settings, i'll post mine tomorrow

It doesn't bother me too much really, I've never needed/wanted more than one delay setting in a song. I take it the presets are permanent, it's not a "only while the pedal is powered" kinda deal?

Also, does it run off a standard daisy chain okay? Cheers guys :D

The presets are for life!
Mine seems to not like being daisy chained, it makes some "piiiiiiiiiiii" sound, it's really low, but annoying. I don't know if this only happens with one spot, or at my home, because my band's other guitar player has one, and it doesn't make any sound daisy chained. The pedal comes with a power supply...

wow... i just watched some videos. I might buy one. Not too badly priced, £139? I was expecting £200+ I was close to buying a memory boy or something. But this might be more up my street.

the one i was watching on ebay went for £120 or something. i'd rather have a new one at that price.

I find it weird when that happens, I understand people have a budget and sometimes you can't go any higher...but still...
When I sold my Blackstar pedal - it went for £122 I think...when you could get them for £129 new (in fact that day I had seen them for £99 new, so I was pretty lucky there). Strange.

The one I'd seen for sale on HCEFX is now on German eBay, so out of the price range of us Britischers. I will, however, keep an eye out for one.

Fran will vouch for what a terrifying prospect this is. You'll have a Space Echo and an Echoplex like wossname before you know it.

it is a great pedal & most of the demos really don't do it justice IMO as they mostly just show what it does as a standard delay, & even then it is still a great pedal w/o the Hazarai.

my gripe w/ the presets is that you end up relying on them instead of experimenting. i think one of the main reasons why some people want MORE than one preset is becuz you can get so many different awesome delays out of one feature that it becomes difficult choosing just ONE. but for me there is really only one feature where i wish multiple presets were available.

i am seriously considering buying a second one now becuz i have seen more than a few used ones crop up for less that $150 shipped. i think at that price it is a GREAT DEAL.

cheers.

Missed out on TWO now this week, the first one went for £82! I guess the guy put a high-ball bid in, plus I goofed by not just sticking 100 quid in at the last minute.

Second just now went for £111, which I fought for to the bitter fucking end, but obviously not hard enough.

Sod it, I might as just well just buy a new one for £130ish.

It's what I did (hotrox was cheapest at the time) and I don't regret it for an instant. Pedal of the year for me.
