A Bronco

been modded a bit

White plastic 'F' tuners

Here's a close up, showing the shitty fucked up layout, the toggle switch seems to be a kill switch. I think it's 2 volume and 1 tone control. Only 1 volume seems to work ATM though.

I got it off ebay, the seller told me it hasn't been played for about 30 years.
The paint on the body and the front of the headstock has that 'checking' that people go mad for.
Has the trem arm with it, which is a bonus.

Anyway I'm gonna take it apart later, to see what's up with the electrics.

Congratulations. Get rid of that humbucker imo, get a new pickguard and get it closer to stock and it will be a beauty.

Also - what is that red Jag-stang shaped guitar?

Yeah, I do plan on cutting a new pickguard. Just gotta find a blank of the right colour.

The jagstang thing I made myself. It's influenced my the musicmaster with just a neck pickup. It has a 22.75" squier mini strat neck. Anyway, I like it!

I love it! Is that a cut-off tele bridge? What's the pickup, hotrail?

It looks like an LP Jr drunk-drove into a JS.

Exactly; cut-off tele bridge with compensated saddles, and a cheap hotrails pickup.
Thinking about drilling it for string thru and a jag pickup.

shit, i should've done that for my wee duo-sonic project rather than shelling out £60 on a vintage bridge.

I think that bronco is awesome the way it is. I love hackjobs. Pity it's done to a somewhat hard to get guitar, but jesus!!
Like Stewart, I think that volume knob is in a total ashoel position. It's like,.. hmm let's see if we can beat the stratocaster in terms of entirely annoying vol pot positions. Although it's probably incredibly useful for swells though. Just the right place for your pinky to snag it.

I think it could benefit from a new guard with consideration to no humbucker ring.
Humbucker ring is what's ruining this guitar for me.

I like the mismatched knobblies.
