After recently discovering that I’m not a fan of Jags (it would seem I’m a telecaster fan). I’ve been thinking about getting one of these as I don’t have a guitar with P90s.
The price seems to have come down quite a bit recently, are they any good?

Fairly solid build but I didn't like the pickups - found them muddy and undefined.
Also I believe it's a satin finish on the neck rather than gloss, which isn't my preference. However it's a solid core for you to turn into a nice guitar.

So you reckon the P90 aren’t up to scratch, they were a selling point.

Aen liked them, but I thought they were awful. Wait for other opinions I guess.

Neck pickup is a dream. Mike CLEARLY played a bad unit. The neck pickup is beefy and articulate. The bridge on mine, meh, boring, bt the only bridge pickup I actually like is a normal telecaster.

My brother has one of these. At first, I wasn't impressed with the pickups but that was while playing it trough my brother's Hybrid Hartke Piggy Back Stack. I ended up changing my mind about them somewhat, after playing them trough a decent amp. Still not my cup of tea but I can definitely understand how some people might dig them.

I didn't like the neck on the one I played; wish it played nicer, though - good combination of guitar and pickups.

I'm beginning to think I got the magic one. I've only played 3 of them, one had a fucked up ultra mud pickup, one had barbwire frets, and the other is my sweety honey baby which is not too heavy either.

Nah, tried them on a few different weekends and didn't really like playing them.

So rather than played a defective model, I played a typical model...

It just seems really wierd that I played the two good ones, especially in this era of squier. Im not saying its impossible...

This guitar has 2 main things going for it:
1: The neck, which is simply amazing for a sub-£600 guitar.
2: The pickups, which are simply amazing for a sub-£600 guitar.
Then there's that creamy butterscotch blonde finish, too. I wish I still had mine, it was fucking brilliant. One of the best guitars I've ever played.
