I just blasted my load all over the place. DO WANT!
This is absolutely crazy! I'd love to get my hands on that thing, though I've never played on an aluminum neck.

cool as it is... I could spend a mere fraction of that and get an EGC, and it'll be a better guitar and made to my spec. Cool for a collector, not for a player.

or an old kramer. they tend to run in the $600-$900 range. they weigh a ton though.

Problem with those is that the neck ends at the joint, on Travis beans and EGCs woot/aluminum hybrids the neck runs straight through to the bridge which is where the ridiculous sustain and aluminum wierdness comes from.

i came pretty close to buying one, but the weight turned me off. made my 11lb les paul feel like a duo-sonic. i thought it was great otherwise. i just couldn't imagine actually standing up and playing it anywhere.
they've got a couple beans at guitar center. never really bothered with them due to the price tags.

Market value for TB500s is about $6000, intact. No-one has access to the TB parts to complete this guitar, so it'll never be complete. I got my Electrical for about £850 at 2006 exchange rates and this looks and sounds like a 500, but is more solidly built.

Ah, it appears all the parts you need are there. This'll fetch a pretty penny.
On ebay up to $10,000!

The seller is legitimate too. I'm a member at travisbeanguitars.com and Mr. Oblinger posted it there as well.

Why buy that when you can buy
this??
A rare Travis Bean-cutaway for display purposes.
