dude, is that you? you have some awsome guitar skills! and your voice is pretty nice to the ears as well!
i dug the video style too.
what kinda jazzy/amp setup are you using, it almost sounds like a slight reverb, but its hard to tell for sure.

Maybe a bit of phaser? I'm pretty sure you could hear some modulation in there.
I really like your voice + the percussive strumming thing you do for part of the song, the guitar part sounded great, too. What how did you record that? The quality was good considering I couldn't see any mics.
Good job!

yea, this is really great. I like how the phased out guitar chugging complements the train lyrics. what phaser is that? it's nice and subtle.

Hey.
Thanks for the kind comments folks.
It's a J Mascis Jazzy with a small stone ver 4 going into a champion 600. It's recorded with the dodgy mic on my canon rebel digicam.
The song's called 'Amerikanka' It's a russian acmeist poem that I translated and then took liberties to make it work with the guitar parts.
Amerikanka (1914)
American twenty years old
forgot what the titanic told
sleeping below dark as a crypt
she's bound that she must reach Egypt
America - the factory whistles are singing
and the skyscrapers give to the darkened clouds
their smudged lips
The louvre - our daughter of the sea
stands lovely as a poplar tree
she climbs the acropolis, a squirrel
that chips away the sugared marble
no meaning penetrates her brain, yet she reads Faust on the train
and she's sorry she must own, Louis now not on the throne
- Osip Emilyevich Mandelstam
^this guy died in a gulag for writing a harmless poem about Stalin.
also, got love my epic fail, by forgetting to take down that GTA poster....
thanks
judson

I fucking love that song, I forgot how much I love it for a while there 'cause it's been a while since I've listened to it. Good cover.
