The Jag-Caster?

Got myself this jaguar body a few years ago, and its been sitting in my bedroom ever since, gathering dust. SO, I finally decidied to give it life!
I have an old Squier telecaster that I've decided to pull to pieces for the pickups, and electronics. If it sounds good, I'll leave them in, but most likely I'll swap them out. Just want to get it up and running!
The neck's off my first electric guitar, an affinity series strat.
I'm thinking of getting it painted in sonic blue, and go for a mint pickguard.
Anyway, piccies:
Next to my Jag:
And all on its own:

So the control rout is right up against the contour? This is useful information.

Yeah, a bit too close, but the pictures show it just about fits.

when you say jaguar body, do you mean jaguar shaped but the bridge is set for 25.5?

oh, so you mean a jazzmaster body. so it's basically a telemaster body with a control plate mount that is a little wonks.
any plans for what shape you're going to use for the pickguard?

It changes everything for me. I think the Jag looks way sleeker and sexier as a result of that difference.
Plus the headstock. So much hot.

That's called a Jaguar.

I had not seen those overlayed like that. I would have thought JMs were way larger too.

Found it in my search for JM blueprints. Interesting to see for sure, especially the differences in knob, neck and bridge placements.

What about body thickness, side edge profile & contours? Mustangs are around 1 1/2" thick, Jazzmaster slightly less then 1 3/4" thick... dunno Jaguar.
