my guitar is back! <3 shortscale!

so i finally got the gfs pickups i needed to put the replacement hh jag special (provided by aen and the rest of the shortscale community) back to how its stolen predecessor was configured. there was a little shipping confusion initially that dave @ guitar fetish worked out with me (turns out, it was my bad), but i couldn't be happier with the results. as soon as i plugged it into the pro jr, i could tell my tone was back. it's been a joy playing my avri jag these last 6 months as my main axe, but this is where i belong. thanks again, guys!

still had the plastic over the pickups and pickguard.

took this photo for reference to have some idea of what to set the bridge height to as both posts would need to be removed to pull of the pickguard.
bye bye, stock setup. . .
. . . and plastic wrap. the pickguard will never look this clean again, that's for sure.
gotta say this is well done here. the under side of the 'guard is shielded. don't remember if my first one of these was setup as such.
just need to remove 2 solder points on the rhythm circuit.
and the fact that the stock dragsters are only two wire makes this so much easier to translate how to connect the new pickups.
voila.
only two solder points for the lead circuit as well.
seamless! had to use the rings (the black shit around the pickups) from the dragsters as the replacement set was slightly too wide so the screw holes wouldn't line up.
re-strung, intonated, and properly setup. damn, this thing is gorgeous!

AYe, had the Dreams in my last SG - reminded me of tele bridge pickups (which means Aen might well like them, now I think of it...), wanted to give the Means a try.

mean is bridge, dream is neck.
see pics? mean90 box says "chrome bridge."
