Flea Market Score!

Post by brandon. »

so I hope this is the right place for a mandolin...
My girlfriend and I stopped at a flea market today and saw a wicked electric/acoustic mandolin. It was priced
at $80. I commented to her how cool it was and the people who ran the booth said "$40?". I said yes.
Here it is:

The pickup ring was cracked and missing a chunk of plastic, so while I was at my grandmas I made a quick fix out of some cardboard:

Through an mxr bluebox, this thing sounds crazy great.

I asked the guy at the booth if I could try it on and he just gave me this really dirty look and said "Don't break it"
and then went back to playing GTA 3.

maybe effects, amps & gear? that's where other non-guitar instruments usually go.
