Little guards didn't fit on mine because of the P90s. But had I painted it, I could have done anything, I would think. I also would have gone with Pelham. Still might.

i'm tempted to with my sg someday as i LOVE the guitar but hate cherry + big guard. refinishing a set neck is no joke though, it seems like it would be a major pain in the ass.

Me too. I'm thinking of putting one on my '61 reissue. Bat gaurd FTW all the way.

that would be my ideal sg, twin p90's and big pickguard. still kick myself for not snagging a cheap one that was in my local guitar shop.
