TERMITEZes
I think we have seen THIS before or something, but WTF? I think he is going to have to live with less than $2K. It's original, but it's been chewed on.

I wouldn't be willing to send somebody $2000 if they weren't willing to at least spell check their advert first. The 'it's ok. actually it's a bit fucked, but it's ok' lines about it being plugged in don't help either. This guitar was just pulled from a closet inside a home that was about to be torn down. It is an all Original 1963 Fender Jag. I could remove the neck to prove this but I will not.. just compare numbers if you must. Head reads: Des. 186,826 pat. 2.960,900 2,972,923 & pat. pend Back plate reads L15111. Who ever wins this guitar gets the first peek into the guitar as they can disassemble it however they want. The guitar body has been eatin by termites as you can see from the photos. The neck has not been touched at all and has not one single hole, dent or even a scratch on it... it is perfectly streight. Its amazing how new the neck looks considering the age and the sircumstances surrounding the guitar.. The home was vacant for over 20 years and the guitar sat with its original 60's or 70's strings still on. Every one knows already from looking at the guitar that the body is damaged and will need replacing. The guitar plays. Plug her in and it comes to life. At first it is scratchy sounding with some static but it does play. All knobs and switches are on the guitar but not sure if they work, all screws are on the guitar, it appears as though nothing has ever been removed. The knobs on the pots move but they are tight, the switches also move but they are tight as well. The trem works great and has the bar. Frets are in great shape and seem to have little play. The fret board shows little wear. The bridge shows some rust. Tuners work great and turn easy as if new. Nut is perfect. The guitar is very stable even with the termite holes and the neck is stable. I could break the guitar apart and sell off the parts but that would be a sin. This is as is!! AS IS! SOLD AS IS!! Please only bid if you know what you are getting yourself into. The guitar will be very well packed and insured. Thank You! ROCK N ROLL HISTORY!!
Shabba.

LAWL. replacing the body of a vingate guitar = no vintage guitar anymoreEvery one knows already from looking at the guitar that the body is damaged and will need replacing.
so, i wouldn't trust that guitar as far as i could throw it. MAYBE if he parted it out, others could complete some vintage projects they're working on, but that body totally useless. if the guitar sat in a closet long enough to get eaten by termites, it's going to be too fragile to much else with than hang in a museum. . . especially if the pots and switches are all sticking. otherwise, donate it to a museum and take tax write off instead of trying to score a massive deal on ebay. what a dipshit. so tempted to message him.

The way he worded his ad also makes him sound like a massive asshole. Will not check dates, everybody knows that...
If you want any hope in selling me a 2k piece of shit, the least you can do is suck me off with some niceness, a little...

oh yea, I remember that. that was nuts. the neck was like just a shell. the termites ate out the inside of the whole neck.robert(original) wrote:i remember seeing a jag, or jazzy neck that was eatin by termites.
he was actually selling just the tuners but included pics of the termite eatin neck for the lolz.
