I have no idea about acoustic guitars. I'm looking for a small-bodied acoustic guitar (I think that would be a folk guitar) just for messing around with at home, looking for a fairly cheap one i.e. up to £250 but cheaper is preferable.

Thanks!

Thanks, I think that's the guitar that won the award for 'best acoustic under £300' if I remember correctly (?) That is the kind of guitar I'm looking for, nice and small, I'm only a little lad :)

You want to get yourself whatever acoustic it is deaddonkey has. If you can pay the sort of price he did it's a ridiculous deal.

I am selling two Epiphones. One is a black Everly Bros model ($350 shipped), and the other a 1971 MIJ El Dorado ($300 shipped) with blonde flame mapplez. I don't know so much about body size. They are both great sounding. Just saying.

Awesome. I've only played that one guitar by the A&L brand, but in terms of value for money it's one of the best acoustics I've ever played. I quite like playing it and I hate playing acoustics. The S&P stuff is awesome as well. I'm not sure if there's much difference, but I've spent more time with an A&L. At a guess i'd say the quality is similar and you get a little more value for money from A&L but S&P is by no means a bad deal. I could of course be talking nonsense about that, it's based on a few scattered playings and the general prices that I've seen.

You've made a good choice.

So is a Mustang I guess.

A Baby Taylor isn't going to be as good as the A&L.

The reason for me buying the acoustic is that I have a few electric guitars, a few pedals etc.. none of which I ever play, it seems I'm getting stuck in a habit of buying stuff which I know I'll never use which is ridiculous. I have sold much of the stuff on Ebay in the past week.

When I think back to my fondest memories of playing guitar it's when I lost my job and had to sell all my stuff but as a treat I bought a semi-acoustic Ibanez, I didn't even have an amp but I played that thing for many hours and I never cared about not owning an amp or any effects. I just want to do some proper organic playing right now...
