I was browsing MF and I saw this,

and I was wonder if it is the same as the Black/Black Jag HH with different colors or if the hardwear is different. Cheers.

Looks to be the same to me. I wasn't too keen on the dragster pickups though, not much fun going on. Fender Japan makes these guitars in so many awesome colours and we get the worst two it looks like. The all black models look fucking boss though

I'd probably swap the pickups out for some humbucker sized P90s. I've been considering doing that to my Classic Player Jag HH.

The red burst is cool- had one for a while - there's a great thread where a member had a custom aluminium neck put on one that looked ace. I've got a sunburst body waiting for me to something with it. Mebbe EMGs and a floyd rose

I've always been curious to see what a matching sunburst headstock would look like. Wish they'd have done it along with the redburst (which looks ace).

black rings around those pickups looks kinda off to me on a white pickguard. kind of an odd choice on fender's part.

I think they're both really awkward looking.

it's the white pickguard w/ blackup pickup rings. it makes no sense. with that, the guitar would look closer to a toronado but with jag switching. AWESOME.

If you're going to bother with unnecssary rings on a pickguard like that, black on white seems a good choice. With something like the blacked out HH I an understand it, but the black on white looks a lot better than white or cream would have looked.

i woulda gone no pickup rings on this setup.

Definitely swap out the Dragsters. Love the Red , though I wouldn't be unhappy if Santa left either under the tree along with my Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2

You guys give me crap for my green pearl on black obsession, but go gaga for cheesy 70's style Teisco red burst? I call shenanigans.

don't know that i could dig on a jag with a stop tail. any color.

if you're like me and pretty much never use trem, it's no bother. obviously, being a devout trem user, though, kinda disqualifies any hard tail axe.
