Fender electic mandolin is about 13.7" scale length accoring to instant google. Looks rad to me, do want. Be interested to see it first hand before spunking that money.

It's a super-cheap Clearwater "12-string mini guitar" from Ebay UK. It's got a scale of about 18.5" (like if you'd put a capo on the 5th or 6th fret on a regular guitar) - think of it as something halfways between a regular 12-string and a mando-guitar; currently tuned in A.
This will be more of a modding project - the pickups will definitely have to go (they are REALLY bad) - but that's OK for a guitar that only cost 150 GBP, I'll have to dig through my parts pile to find something nicer...

Actually by the look of how light is reflecting , I'm gonna guess those are actually surpluss Chinese Tele neck p'ups.
