Possibly stupid question

Okay so we have the DLS which can make a Fender amp sound like a marshall, but is there a pedal that can make a marshall clean up like a Fender?

I say this because even though i love Marshalls at rehearsal we usually get JCM800 & 900's but sometime I really want that clean Fender sound, it'd be well handy. Fairly neutral amp you could have the best of both worlds.

I guess an EQ in the FX loop is about as close as you'd get- there's no way of making an inherently gritty amp get spangley cleans without modding and retubing the amp.

This, but some reverb might help sparkle up a dull and lifeless clean channel.

To be honest were you to use a Marshall 6100 you would have the best of both worlds. The Crunch channel is that 800 vibe all over whereas I would stand that Clean channel up against a Fender any day.

iirc early marshalls are fairly close to the Fender bassman (tweed combo) amp. Lots of people convert over to 12ax7s to make it even closer to the bassmans but that's about all you can do without popping the hood open. I, like many, play a DLS into a clean fender amp for marshally goodness
