crate 15v tube amp first impression

hey all
my crate v15 arrived last week.
for $250 with swapped JJ tubes & shipped its pretty decent.
impressions in no particular order:
loud as shit (as 15 tube watts should be)
average gain sound, a little thin me thinks and sounds more distorted than overdriven
average reverb for real tank, good enough for joe blow, but surf dudes and reverb purists will not embrace its tone
pretty damn heavy for combo (38 lbs) plus handle is off center so its an awkward bitch to carry
seems sturdy and rugged as hell.
This is a USA model and looks to be a good way to get a lot of tube for a reasonable amount
has a volume level and gain level but you must have some gain turned on in order to hear anything at all
even if volume is cranked
no 100% clean tube tones to be found.
