I would like to start playing around with making a few pedals and wondered if anyone can recommend some UK based UK kits to start playing with? The reason I ask about kits is that I figure this is a good way to get abit of confidence and then see where I need to look at expanding on skill/equipment/etc.
Also, apologise i this has been covered before and if ppl have links to other threads of a similar nature please let me know
cheers

You'll probably realise it from the link but your best bet will be a German site. There's no customs to pay because it's in the EU and delivery is usually in 4 day or so, so it's not much different than buying from a UK website.

thanks for the links folks. So the leeds is probably a good start then? What about the confidence booster kit or is that just a waste of cash?
Also, other than a soldering iron is there any other kit atm I should consider getting?

The Leeds is not simple. Start with a Booster or FuzzFace kit from musikding.
You don't want to mess with multiple transistor, multiple pot/switch crap until you have the basics down. If you're not already a well versed solderer, some practise on old junk is in order.

Yeah Musikding.de kits are probably your best bet for a first-time build. The enclosures aren't drilled, but a monkey could do that.

Thanks folks, the musikding kits look like they will do the trick. I'll probably get an order in now so that i can have some fun in the new year. Now to find webpages on how to drill cases
