Swapping the 'Rhythm' cicrcuit pots, Jaguar

Hi again,
When on stage, I have my Blackstar distortion pedal on constantly. To get my clean tones, I switch to the rhythm circuit, with the volume already turned way down. This cuts the distortion, and gives me my clean sound. This is so that I don't need to worry about racing back to my pedals when I need to switch to clean.
The problem is, the rhythm circuit is too muddy for my liking. I'm thinking of swapping the pots of the rhythm circuit so that they match the lead circuit, so that it is giving me the same tone on both circuits.
I have a couple of questions to ask about this:
Are the pots the same size for both the rhythm and lead circuit, as the rhythm uses the thumbwheels, I was thinking maybe they are not the same?
Will the capacitor also need changing with the pots?
Thanks in advance,
Greenie

def look for pots the same size as your jag, wheather its jap or av(i think they are the same size tho, just different brackets)
a couple 250k's of the smaller variety should be ok, but get solid shaft( i know thats what the avri's have, not sure about the japs)
and yea, the cap will have to be changed as well.
hope that helps some.

Thanks
I was looking at Jaguar wiring diagrams, and the lead circuit uses 1meg pots, so if I get a 1meg pot, and swap it in the rhythm circuits tone position, I'll essentially have 2 lead circuits, but with a different volume and tone for each?
The caps are the same according to
THIS diagram, so don't need changing.
My jag is a jap model. I've had a look at a couple of places for pots, but can't seem to find any of these smaller pots used with the thumbwheels
Thanks again

Thanks for the help guys
Now, to just find the right pot!
Edit:
Had to find one from US, around $25 dollars, inc. shipping. I found one in the UK for about £12, but I wasnt 100% it was the right thing. So at least I know this one will work, then all I need is to wait for my mustang bridge that is on its way, and my Jag mods
should be complete.

Now then, looks like you're a local. Are you gigging in Sheffield much?
I've been thinking of doing the same mod that you describe above to my Jag. I just ordered a 1Meg linear 'jazzmaster roller' pot from allparts.com. It should come Sat depending on the snow, I hope its the right type.
How did your mod work out?

Yeah, we're called Sleepwalker. Played Plug xmas party, and at O2 Academy on 5th February.
I'm still waiting for mine to come through, ordered from US as I wasnt sure if the one on allparts was the right one. And it was cheaper from US anyway
I think it must be here by now though, just sat at the sorting office because of snow.

I'm interested in how this turns out when you get it installed and where you ordered your part from GreenKnee.
Also, was looking at the Seymour Duncan wiring diagram and noticed that the Jazzmaster Roller circuits are wired a bit differently than the Jag. Wondering if anyone on the forum has tried wiring a Jaguar's rhythm circuit that way and if it makes much of a difference.

I'll let you know how it goes once it actually arrives, seems to be taking ages!
This is the website where I ordered it from:

I'm doing the mod as this is how I use distortion on my SG, have the neck pickup turned quite a lot down so its near enough clean, and have bridge pickup on full. Of course, this isnt how I always achieve clean or full overdrive, just for most of my bands songs thats how it works
