interesting, not too different from the originals though, looking at the other stuff that shop sells, those "road worn" guitars look shit, pretty much what i'd do if i got drunk and tried to relic a guitar

Have you seen and played one in person? They're actually not bad looking or feeling at all. Easy to hate on the internet.
They're hugely overpriced but I think second hand they would be a good deal - I was very impressed with the sunburst one I played.

In a row I think they look lame because they're all the same. In isolation I actually think they're fairly close to the real deal.

The Roadworns look ridiculous. I hear they play nice, and I've never picked one up. They look too silly, I'd never play one. What's wrong with frets nine through twelve? Do people not use those frets or something?

Hmmm:
I always thought that screw in the middle was added later, because the guards were shrinking on the first runs? I'm surprised to see that many screws on such an early guitar.

Fantastic find. There always hope that another variation will appear just like Lionel Trains

I seem to recall that some people weren't convinced that the Jazzmaster prototype was legit. Has anyone heard anything about it?

I am very familiar with Buffalo Bros having bought 6 or 7 guitars from them. If they say it is authentic it is. They were great friends with George Fullerton and got most of his collection when he died. THis shop is top notch and has the best trade up policy in the business. Any guitar you buy there, you can trade bac if at full price (minus any damage) towards any purchase that is at least $100 more than you paid. So you buy a 500 guitar, play it for 6 months. Trade it in on a 1K guitar and hand it back plus $500... Great shop.

I'm definitely no expert, I'm just repeating what I heard some dudes saying (maybe it was on the OSG). Supposedly, some of the parts didn't match up somehow with what they should have been. If I recall they said it was just a conglomeration of a lot of various old parts, but it didn't look like they all dated to the same time.
Again, just what I heard.
