I found broken DMM on the Bay and was wondering if I should risk a few dollars to see if it's fixable.

Also, when did the DMM in the larger chassis get true bypass and is it hard to add if it doesn't?

Somebody probably tried tinkering with the trimpots and murdered it. IDK, that's my guess. Messing around with the trimpots on my Electric Mistress almost turned out to be a disaster.
I imagine that if it powers on, there's nothing wrong with the actual circuit (ie-water damage or corrosion).

it's Easy to TB them but thatone already is with those rounded knobs.
The box alone is worth $20.

Knobs alone are worth $20! I imagine the chips even a bit more assuming they aren't fried.

Hey it's only 20 bucks for a DMM. Even if the chip is fried, maybe you can source a replacement and your costs would be less than what they usually go for. If you're not happy, you can flip it.

Thanks. That gives me some good options. I will try to acquire it as long as it doesn't get too high. It could be as simple as a bad jack. EHX might even be able to fix it if I can't.

Let it reach $80 or so. Above that I'll have 2nd thoughts. Again, it's a DMM.

Last glance the price was at about $46.00 (plus $15 for shipping) . Still lots of time left.If I was buying new, I would probably buy the XO DMM, but I love a good used deal.
Has anyone put an older DMM up against the new XO DMM in a demo?

I guess they're about the same.
The bigger boxes have more mojo but I appreciate the smaller footprint of the newer EHX.

Part of me would love a pedalboard full of the bigger box EHX effects like the Polychorus, DMM, The Worm, etc. The big knobs are great for tweeking. The practical part of me would rather have the sleek smaller boxes to maximize space and get more effects on the board

20 minutes to go and $86.00 plus shipping. That's a little rich for my blood considering is broken. I will probably not bid. I could easily find a Memory boy for that. I may want to go the Memory Boy route first unless I find another good deal on the DMM.

Too high already man. Memory Boy or for (hopefully) few more quid you can get the Deluxe Memory Boy.

spend as much as it needs for the big ass DMM and you'll never regret.
