Any 12-String players here?

I'm gonna be picking up an old Guild 12-string acoustic tomorrow, but I was wondering if any of you folks here were 12 string fans?
I've only played them a few times in shops and from those interactions, I liked them. Can't wait to get it; I'm gonna be adjusting it for lefty playing though.

I used to own a '67 Hagstrom XII. I wanted to like it but it just wasn't my jam. Wish I held onto it though.

I have a Seagull 12-string acoustic/electric that gets a lot more play than my Martin 00-15 these days, really beefs things up when just playing/singing and sounds a lot more bright and to my taste on recordings than the small-bodied, dark-sounding Martin. The neck is really wide though, even for a 12-string.
I'd really like a 12-string electric but I don't think I'd use it enough to justify buying one. Might convert a tele at some point.

Rickenbacker 610. Love everything except the skinny skinny neck.

if you have small hands it can be a bit painful, luckily the neck works perfect for me.

I have an old Teisco electric that's high-strung. Basically, the octave strings from a 12 and the top 2 normal.
It's really fun - I think it sounds a bit clearer and nicer than a full 12-string electric.

I've got me a Martin twelve string, one of the cheaper ones. It's definitely fun to play around with, and some songs will jump out at you on a beautiful sounding 12 string, though at times it feels as if its novelty wears off.
It's never useless, though.

I have a 1995 Ovation Balladeer 1751 12 string... and I love it. She was an ebay find. $165 shipped. After 5 hours of cleaning and tweaking, she plays great. The action on her is lower than any 6 or 12 string acoustic I have ever played, almost as low as an electric (you can do this with Ovations). And when played... she just rings... gorgeous sound. The best part... she has a built-in preamp and sounds even better plugged in.

A good friend of mine had an old Alvarez 12 string acoustic that was sitting in a closet. I took it from him and some repair work on it. I replaced the split bridge, straightened the truss rod and put some new strings on it. It plays nice and I have noodling with it some. It could use some new tuners, but it sounds nice. I like 12 string guitars, but it's lower on the priority list, but would like one eventually. I think Taylor current makes the best 12 strings. I played a sapele Mahogony 12 string that makes me drool. If I was in the market, I would go for a Taylor t5 12 string or a Fender XII/Vista Squier XII.

My Baldwin Burns Double Six
Doesn't get a lot of play, they don't like that sort of music at the jam.

I have been eyeing those up a little bit, actually, if I saw one in a shop I'd probably hit it.

Keep looking, last year I bought a black Rickenbacker 360 off a guy on gumtree.ie for €400. I had a few dents and some scratches but it was lovely guitar, I sold it on fro nearly double on eBay.
Check newspaper classifieds, craigslist ads get way too much attention when it's a good deal.
