Blackstar takes the HT-5 to the Stage

he new Blackstar Venue series will be released at the NAMM show today.
Blackstar haven't compromised on quality but these are incredible value for money & fantastically versatile.
whatever sound you're after it's achievable with blackstar, from British to American, Clean to High Gain with everything in between. we think these are a 'no brainer' if you're a gigging guitarist who doesn't want to spend a fortune on an amp, the Venue is 'the one'

"Three channels with 2-way EQ for 'boutique' channel and 3-way EQ plus ISF for Overdrive Channels. A Voice switch for each channel, Presence, Resonance, Master Volume, digital reverb with dark/bright switch, effects loop and emulated output with 1x12/4x12 select switch. Supplied with a 4-way foot controller."

Under the hood, the 60-watt valve combo has two ECC83, one ECC82 and two EL34 tubes. The range also features 20, 40 and 100-watt models.

that is my next amp, sounds amazing. 60 watt version with 2x12 would be perfect for me.

Had a play of the HT-5 a while back and thought it was a cracking little amp. I wonder how much these will go for?

I saw an advert the other day in a magazine, I think the HT-20 was around Â£450. They do look interesting

Footswitching options? It sounds amazing but if you can't easily access the sounds live it all seems pointless.
Sound s spot on though, I could happily gig with it

The whole small amp craze is hilarious.
Now everyone realizes that the 5w shit isn't quite working out so now it's time to get something you can actually use.

To be honest, my 30w peavey classic worked great live.

I don't think the 5w amps have ever been intended for gigging. they're just for recording, practicing or messing around at home.

it's all just marketing as far as i can tell, that 5w is only reducing headroom and your only shaving like 10db from a 50w amp, and that's if your amp is really putting out 50w, which most won't. i really can't reason the small amp shit. I had the epiphone valve jr, but it wasn't useful at all.

any ideas on pricing and when they coming out? seriously thinking of going for that 60w version. that tele sounded amazing through it.
