Very nice.

Ice Blue Metallic?

I play a Squier Classic Vibe 60's P-Bass in Sonic Blue, very similar.

Thanks. I dunno?

It was made in 2001 I think, if that's any help.

I played a classic vibe strat today, the kind Aen has, it was pretty rad. I will be buying one of those Teles when we finally get them here.

It looks like agave blue. Like Robroe's esquirer and Haze's mim telecaster.

I likes it.

Spot on. They did it on the standard series for a few years along with Sage Green, roughly 2002-2006. I've recently come across 'new' guitars in those colours still hanging from shop walls.

Yeah when I was buying it the seller told me it was made in 2003, turns out it was made in 2001 so it hung in a shop for two years before someone bought it

Nice. My brother had a tele like Haze's; agave blue is very pretty in person and varies a lot in different kinds of lighting, which I love. Never hurts to have a good ol' Fend-a-bass around.

The MIM standards are great, but I've never been impressed with the pickups on the precisions of this series. How does this one sound?

I love that color. One just like that popped up on my local craigslist a couple weeks ago and I thought about getting it.

Sound great to me...very bright and clear. I had mine set up to Fender factory specs, including the pickup hieght.

Agave blue is an all time favourite of mine, i wouldn't mind owning another guitar that colour either because even side-by-side the two would still look different

I just like to have some idea of where people are when they talk about prices. Not that anyone has mentioned anything that would cause me to hurtle over to Belgium or Latvia to buy a guitar yet. Sounds like a really nice deal you got there; I have a "Texas" J-bass that does well for the £42 it cost me new, which will probably fall apart soon, but although I keep looking at The Real Thing when I'm in guitar shops I haven't been serious enough to look at s/h Fender bass prices.

If I was looking for good quality used gear I'd go to the United States to be honest!

We may be going over to Arizona later in the year for a holiday but the schedule will probably be too tight to wander round the pawn shops even if I knew where to wander. Then I'd worry about duty coming back in....

Yeah, I lived in the U.S. for a long time and I loved going "pawnshopping" and also hitting the music stores for used gear. Back then, most pawnshops were ran by scumbags and they weren't the sanitized homogenized institutions we see today. The thrill of getting a guitar or amp off them when they had no idea what it was worth was a rare treat. If it was a Gibson Les Paul or a Fender Stratocaster the price would be ridiculously high, however I used to get great deals on Japanese Fenders, and early made in the U.S.A Squires. Bought lots of Tokai guitars for under $100.

I once bought a '76 Les Paul Custom that some heavy metal douche bag hand painted with a brush for $50 if I remember. I had it re-finished and sold it for nealry a couple of grand.
