It's been sitting in her wardrobe for absolute donkey's years and it's in superb condition except for a nice bit of wear, even the strings are still usable.
The burst on the top looks really nice and the engraved stop tail, although a cheap piece of tin is a nice touch. It sounds great, very resonant and a little toppier and airy than most Mandolins I've played probably due to the shape and lightness (lighter than any I've played before).
Does anyone here play the Mandolin or knows anything about 80s Samick instruments in general that might be able to give me some information on its history?
