i should have added a few things.
the Pbass needs a bit of work. I mean it DOES work but the tone pot needs to be replaced, its disconected eniterly right now (but super easy and i even have the replacement) its a bit dinged up and an affinity series. also the nuts kinda sliding off cause my old boss did the tone knob removal when i didnt know jack about guitar repair and re-strung it backwards and i have yet to fix it. (but again easy)
I feel the same way about the modding platform. such as i was thinking about doign a billy sheehan style mod to it with a gibson style bass humbucker in the neck and 2 outputs. (i very much so dislike sheehan though)
but overall i would like more growl in my bass which i would imagine the thunderbird would do. Edit that part i was wrong about the pickup it was new style 2 whole not old style 3 hole. finding a replacement might actually be tough... hmmmmmmm a set back indeed.
im torn

If you like the way that bass sounds and you're willing put minimal time and some money into, then do it.
If you're super found of the sound then you're going to put money into and realize you don't really like it and trade it for something else. So, basically, unless you're sure that you like the Epiphone bass more; don't do it.
