Hi All,
Has anyone tried the tuning machines from GFS? Are the copies close enough to the originals that they are worth the buy?

Have two sets a vintage style and modern style. Both are great.

These appear to be genuine Wilkinson hardware that they're just reselling, so I'm sure they're of top quality.

The other Fender-style tuners have that important qualifying word "style" in the description, so they're the GFS parts -- which I believe GFS licenses and resells as well. A bandmate recently outfitted a near-deceased Strat with these guys, these guys, and this guy, and and they've not given any problems yet. The wiring kit came with two incorrect switches (it should have been three on-off-on switches, but was one on-off-on and two on-offs), and they overnighted replacements without question.

GFS has their shit together in a major way.

The "non-locking" locking Wilkensons are quite good. Have them on 5 guitars

as replacement for vintage klusons go, some things to note: first off, no one makes accurate replicas of the original klusons. kluson went out of business a long time ago and the name is now owned by WD Music. WD Music sells some relatively close copies and they license the name to tone pros for their version. the ones on fender's reissues are made by gotoh. they're good tuners but maybe not as accurate copies as some others. these GFS ones look to be the same as the gotohs.

My project tele custom and epi SG have the vintage Fender tuners and Grover knock-offs sold on GFS, respectively. I wouldn't know the difference if you snuck Fender re-issue tuners or real Rotomatics on there; they feel and look the same, plug into all the same mounting holes, etc... no regrets using GFS for tuners.

The Fender re-issue kluson styles in particular appear and feel identical to the ones on my Jag-Stang, Jaguar and Strat.

I've been wondering how good their cables are. I suspect they'd be good, but I dunno.
